Investor Alert for Stratus Financial Group International

Winnipeg, MB; April 1, 2015 – The Manitoba Securities Commission (MSC) is cautioning Manitoba investors about solicitations made by Stratus Offshore or Stratus Financial Group International. The company is not registered to sell securities or commodity futures contracts in Manitoba.

Representatives for the company have solicited at least one Manitoba resident by telephone to invest in currency contracts.

Securities commissions in Ontario, Nova Scotia and New Brunswick have issued similar warnings after residents in each province were contacted by Stratus.

Manitobans who are contacted by Stratus Offshore or Stratus Financial Group International can call the MSC tip line at 1-855-FRAUD-MB to file a complaint or speak with an investigator.
